Partial Code Match - Flipper Remote

This article refers to our Flipper Big Button Remote Control

Partial Code Matches Explained

Some devices share partial code sets with other devices, so it is possible that a code will be found that turns the device on/off but not all functions work, or the device may turn off but not turn back on.

A partial code match can occur when using the following programming modes;

  • Code List (first method, most popular)
  • Automatic Code Search (second method, recommended if first fails)

What to do

A) If you notice a partial code match during programming...

If this happens, simply continue as the instructions outline for your programming method, as if no code has been found. You may need to turn your device back on using your existing remote control if it has been turned off during testing.

B) If you have already programmed your Flipper and have noticed a partial code match...

You will need to reprogram the Flipper for your specific device/brand as if you were programming it for the first time following the instructions included with the Flipper, please note:

  • We recommend reading the information above under section A regarding partial code matches during programming
  • If you have two devices, you will only need to reprogram the one device that isn't fully working
  • If you locked the Flipper after initial programming, or you've attempted programming and nothing seems to change, we recommend Unlocking the Flipper
