How to perform a QC reset - Flipper
This article refers to our Flipper Big Button Remote Control
Step 1 - Unlocking the Flipper
- Press & hold ADD until the light turns solid, then enter 956 - the light will blink out;
- Press & hold TV until the light turns solid, then enter 956 - the light will blink out;
- Press & hold STB until the light turns solid, then enter 956 - the light will blink out;
It's important to make sure that the light turns off every time a code is entered, such as 956 above. If the light remains solid the Flipper hasn't been unlocked.
Step 1 explanation - It's important that the Flipper is unlocked in all three modes, ADD, TV, STB. If the Flipper is locked in any mode it will prevent further programming or troubleshooting
Step 2 - Resetting to factory setting
- Press and hold ADD until the light turns solid, then enter 954 - the light will blink out;
- Press and hold TV until the light turns solid, then enter 954 - the light will blink out;
- Press and hold STB until the light turns solid, then enter 954 - the light will blink out;
Step 3 - Programming your TV
- Press & hold TV until the light turns solid, then enter your TV programming code - the light will blink out;
- Test On/Off, and both volume buttons are functioning correctly
- If you do not have a Set-Top Box then you'll also need to test your channel buttons to see if they're working correctly
If you don't have a Set-Top Box then this completes the QC reset and your Flipper should now be working. If you're still having difficulty with your Flipper then please get in touch.
Step 4 - Programming your STB
- Press and hold STB until the light turns solid, then enter the programming code; -the light will blink out;
- Test that the On/Off buttons operate the STB
- Test that the Channel Up & Channel Down buttons operate the STB
- If you wish to enter dual-mode, briefly press ADD
