This article refers to our Joy for All Companion Pets range
We recommend all individuals follow the general troubleshooting section. Please also view the Specific Issues section to see if there are any additional troubleshooting steps for the problem with your pet.
General Troubleshooting - Batteries
- Replace with 4 x 1.5V "C" alkaline batteries
- Do not use "C" size zinc-carbon batteries, these batteries will fit in the product but are not recommended
- Do not mix old batteries and new batteries
- If using rechargeable batteries; do not mix rechargeable batteries with non-rechargeable, always remove all four batteries from the product before recharging
Pet is not moving/working at all
- Try switching the pet off and then back on again
- Replace batteries by following the product instructions (and taking note of warnings above)
Pet is not making any noises
- Make sure that the power switch is set to ON and not MUTE. If the power switch is set to MUTE then the pet will work but will not make any sounds
Pet is making noises at night or without any interaction
Companion pets should not make any sounds or movements without being triggered, however they do have multiple different triggers that may cause the pet to be activated without someone being near it.
- The main unintended trigger is changes in light
- We recommend testing the pet by placing it in a quiet unoccupied room and drawing the curtains and making sure there's no changes in light
- If the pet is not activated in this situation then the only solution is to mute the pet or turn it off, when not in use, or store it in a better suited location when not being used
